What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website places on your device. They let it remember things like your sign-in and your preferences. Some of what we remember is kept in your browser's local storage instead, which works the same way from your point of view and is listed here too.

In local storage we keep your light or dark mode choice, your deal list layout, your cookie choice (from the banner) and, in the seller form, your language. None of it leaves your device.

Analytics cookies

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which deals and pages are popular. It sets first-party cookies whose names start with _ga, which last up to two years. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we don't sell what analytics tells us.

On this UK site, analytics cookies are only set after you accept them in the cookie banner. If you choose "Essential only", Google Analytics runs without cookies.

Retailer cookies

When you follow a deal link to a retailer such as Amazon.co.uk, that retailer may set its own cookies to record that we referred you. Those cookies are set on the retailer's site, not ours, and are covered by the retailer's own privacy policy.
